Bellini is part of a series of prints based in part on a celebrated set of allegorical paintings by Italian Renaissance master Giovanni Bellini (1430-1516).  Riva Castleman, the former longtime head of MoMA's print department and legendary print curator, wrote extensively on this series in the catalogue which accompanied her 1991 MoMa exhibition, "Seven Master Printmakers".  

This print is signed and dated by the artist.  c.  1988.
