Ulisse Caputo (1872 - 1948) was a Neapolitan painter who resided in Paris.  He was born in Salermo and studied under Domenico Morelli and was a collaborator of Gaetano Esposito.  Caputo first exhibited in the 1900 Venice Biennale.  He painted genre.  This original oil on canvas is in very fine condition. It is framed in a beautiful gilt frame. Framed it measures 4' x 5' 1". The artwork unframed measures 51" wide x 38" tall. circa: early 1920's
