This vintage marigold epergne base is in very nice condition. c. 1905. 

Originated in Germany and likely dates back to around 1905: Brockwitz's factory was located in Ottendorf, near Dresden, in 1903. 

Brockwitz was likely the first maker of Carnival Glass in mainland Europe. Carnival glass is a type of iridescent glass that's coated to refract light, giving it a rainbow appearance. Brockwitz's Carnival Glass was known for its geometric patterns, which were inspired by cut glass.
